Barbara Hartzler Easy question. Shanda is definitely my favorite character to write. I've actually got a whole great backstory on her that I'd love to make into her own book. Or maybe a novella. :)

Hello there Barbara, I read the Nexis Secret as a R2R Last year! I'm thoroughly hoping there is going to be a #Book2... Could you let me know if and when, we will enter Lucy's world again? :)
Barbara Hartzler Hi Charlotte, great question! I just finished up the 1st draft and am hoping to release Crossing Nexis, Book 2 in the Nexis series, this fall. October is what I'm shooting for. :)

Will you be making "The Nexus Secret" available for Nook? It looks like an interesting story, but is currently only available for Kindle.

I did have The Nexis Secret on Nook for the first month it was out, but Nook Sales vs. KU sales leaned in favor of making the book exclusive with Amazon to participate in Kindle Unlimited.

I do plan to have a limited Nook release window when the sequel releases in February on a trial basis. So check back!

Do you have any other ideas for future books running through your head or you are working on at the moment?
Barbara Hartzler I've got some great YA ideas brewing. My next series will be about a completely underground dystopian society with its own caste system and how a girl and her sister rise and fall in their standings. Calling it SubTerra for now.

After that I have an idea about a group of students who find a portal into other worlds, each tinged a different shade of color that affects their society. Their mad science teacher is amassing an army of changelings, and the students must move between each color-tinged world to stop him. Can you guess what it's called? Tinges, of course!
