Adam Guest I'd like to be in the Star Trek universe, and I'd be trying to travel back in time to prevent the Romulan supernova and undo the abomination that is the Kelvin timeline.
Adam Guest I was an IT Consultant before I became an author. It required a lot of time on the road, and 3-4 nights a week away from home. This career gives me a better work life balance, as with a 5yo son and 2yo daughter, I don't want to miss out on them growing up. If I don't write, or if I write rubbish, then I won't get readers and I'll have to go back to my old career. That's all the inspiration I need.
Adam Guest Be prepared for how long it will take and how much patience you'll need. Novels take a long time to write but they also take a long time to read. It can take several weeks to get feedback and that can get frustrating, especially on book one when you may not expect it.
Adam Guest Don't force it. I find some of my best ideas come when I'm only half thinking about it. I'll go and cut the grass or play darts for a bit. Something usually comes to me in the end.
Adam Guest I've planned out the first six novels of the series. As of today, the second one is in the editing stage. It's called The Futility Of Vengeance, is a sequel to Worldlines, and will be out in December. The third book in the series, Through The Eyes Of Children, will be available in June 2021.
Adam Guest I'd had the characters of Gary, Michelle and Sinead in my head for years, but I never knew where to place them. I didn't want to write something that had been written a thousand times before so didn't want to do a conventional crime novel. Then about 5 years ago I read an article, "The 10 mind bending implications of The Many Worlds Theory". I'd always been interested in how life is made up and what dreams are etc, so once I put it all together I had the basis for Worldlines.
