Ileandra Young I don't get it. o.O
Sorry, I don't mean to be smug, but I don't.
I get stuck, for sure, but I'm a stubborn old mule, so after buying a BIG bar of chocolate and a HUGE bag of crisps I punch on through until the words start flowing again.
It wasn't always that way, but now, that's how I deal with it.
Ileandra Young Rolling out of bed and into work without even putting my bra on. I'm quite fond of that. ;-)
But . . . if you want a serious answer, I love making up worlds. I love taking people on a journey. Most of all, I love making real the images I have in my head. Words allow me to project those images into the heads of others and if that isn't magic then I don't know what is.
Ileandra Young Write lots, read lots.
I know it's a cliché and you've probably heard it before, but writers write.

The other thing is: don't let naysayers and non-believers get you down. So long as you LOVE what you're doing, so long as you BELIEVE in it and you're willing to learn and grow, you'll make an excellent writer.
Ileandra Young The rest of the Saar's Legacy series needs to be rounded off before I start something knew. So write now, I'm working on the sequel to 'Silk Over Razor Blades' which is named 'Walking The Razor's Edge.'
It follows Lenina and the events directly after the first book, furthering the story of what happened to Saar as well.
Ileandra Young TV, internet, radio, going outside with my children. Lots of things give me ideas and plans. Like right now, I have this idea about faeries stealing from humans for their own nefarious ends. Nothing written down yet, but I'm feeling out the story.
All because of an ad I saw on TV about toothpaste.
Yeah, I know, weird, righti?
Ileandra Young Oooo the idea has been lingering in my head for a good 16 years. I just wanted to see certain things in a book and decided to write them. Y'know... girl vampire, not a romance story, Egyptian gods (because they're cool!). I wanted it all mixed up into something cool and excited, which I hope is the end result.
