Tricia Copeland My father was adopted and doesn't know who his parents are... great family drama plot lines there. I do have one character, Alena from Kingdom of Embers, who doesn't know who her father is. Her mother tells her that it is for her own safety that his identity be kept secret.
Tricia Copeland Thanks for your feedback. So excited you liked it. And thanks for noting the mirror image. ACK! You can find my other small town romances Perfect and Perfect Always on Amazon!
Tricia Copeland Lana hi! Sorry, I am just seeing this. Thank you for the note and yes, the full length novel, To be a Fae Queen is now available!
Tricia Copeland John - yes they are the same book. The title and cover evolved. My books Perfect and Perfect Always are small town romances and I have a follow up as yet untitled that will be Perfect something.... another smallish town multi-cultural romance. Thanks for the comment on the story and pointing out my mirror image. It's been way too long since I was in high school band, I guess! My band director would be ashamed.
Tricia Copeland Hi Derek - my novels Lovelock Ones and Torch are in the dystopian sci-fi genres with lots of action/adventure. The premise is not too far from our current events. A group is sent to a remote desert camp to escape a flu epidemic. Two teens decide to take things into their own hands going rogue to find a cure for a sister's illness. You can find out more on my website here: https://triciacopeland.com/dystopian-... - thanks for the inquiry!
Tricia Copeland On my TBR right now are China Dolls by Lisa See, The Dyasters by P.C. and Kristin Cast, AfterMath by Sandy Goldswothy, and The Dragon Princess by Lichelle Slater. So many good books, so little time.
Tricia Copeland Wow! Sorry for delay! Fictional book world... besides my own Kingdom Journals world, I would have to pick Kristin and P.C. Cast's Night Series world. I love how characters hang in the shadows just outside the view of humans.
Tricia Copeland Wow! I just saw this, so sorry... I don't get a lot of writers block because I really think about my stories from finish to end so when I sit down to put them on the page, I know what I want to write. But, in my WIP, I 40k in and had finished my entire plot. Eek! I took a day or so to really think about my character and how to tell their story and came up with a great ending to round out their tale.
Tricia Copeland The best thing about being a writer for me is playing movies in my head. Any time I am bored I start imagining scenes or working out plots in my head. For me it is can be a source of entertainment.
Tricia Copeland It is a great time to be a writer! That said it is not an easy process. Getting the words onto the page is only 25% of the work. Editing, formatting, self-marketing if you self publish, all of these are almost a full time job. Surround yourself with good editors and writers that can help you navigate the process.
Tricia Copeland I am currently writing book 3 of the Being Me series.
Tricia Copeland My transition into adulthood was challenging for me. When my kids got old enough that I had some free time I began to write create and write about fictional characters going through similar challenges to ones I faced. At first it was a happy, a source of entertainment for me. One of my best friends was an editor and author and she inspired me to do something with the work.
Tricia Copeland My first two books are a series that was mapped out from the beginning. I am currently writing a third book, the continuation of the Being Me series. Although the books are a series they could be picked up and read independently. The characters carry over but the challenges the main character, Amanda, faces as she transforms into an independent adult change.
