Elizabeth Stevens Oh, thank you 🙂 I actually do, yes. A few people have asked about that this week, so it's definitely going on the list of things to write. I have zero idea when yet, but I have started playing with cover ideas!
Elizabeth Stevens Yes! At the moment, I have five planned books in the series with room for more. I just need to find time to write them :) I'm hoping I can get to book 2 soon though.
Elizabeth Stevens Hi! Sorry, I only just saw this - notifications are obvs set properly :P. KUA shouldn't be down. Where were you trying to buy it?
Elizabeth Stevens I don't have it very often and it's 99% caused by a crisis in self-confidence. So, the best thing for me is to take a break (a day, a week, a month), read a book, watch a movie/TV, spend time with friends/family and just renew my faith in myself, then get back to it. Sometimes, that story has just stalled for a bit and then I work on another.
Elizabeth Stevens Getting the ideas out of my head :) But, seriously, I think for me it's probably the excitement of a new idea, of getting it down, then of printing out the first draft and going "wow, I did that". The editing process is less delightful.
Elizabeth Stevens Read widely and often. Network as best you can. Learn everything you can - that one's important, never stop learning. And, most importantly, don't stop (believing!) writing, never stop writing. Believe in yourself.
Elizabeth Stevens More YA :) One is a girl-power adventure story, and the other is a bit 'The Mortal Instruments' meets 'Harry Potter' with elves.
Elizabeth Stevens It varies. Sometimes (most of the time), I just need to write. Sometimes, meeting with my writers' group inspires me. Sometimes, editing other people's work gets my head churning - all that thinking about structure and grammar, and seeing someone else's success makes me want to work on more of my own. And, sometimes, I just have to force myself to get going because I know it won't get done otherwise.
Elizabeth Stevens I read too much and watch way too much, and this idea just popped into my head while I was trying to sleep (then kept me up all night). I'm working on it furiously, but am a bit concerned it will be too similar to the works that inspired it. I'll just have to wait and see what the end product looks like! :)
