Troy B. Kechely The basic information about me is at my website, www.troykechely.com. I can summarize a little bit here though. My day job is in the engineering trade though my passion is to write. I'm also the founder of Big Sky Rottweiler Rescue which is coming up on its 20th anniversary. My dogs are very important to me as is helping other people understand them. That is what motivated me to develop classes to teach law enforcement and animal control officers how to deal safely with aggressive dogs. That led me to write my first book, Management of Aggressive Canines for Law Enforcement. Though it is no longer in print, I've had several officers encourage me to reissue it.

Though I have many other side interests, my primary focus of late is research and story development for my third novel.

If you have any other questions please don't hesitate to ask here or contact me through my website.
Troy B. Kechely Oddly enough, the idea for Stranger's Dance came from a TV add for a made-for-television show on the old Halmark channel. I have no idea what the show was but the add had a dog running along a country road. That triggered something in me and it just grew over the years. When I sat down and started writing almost ten years later, I had no clue what the book was going to be about, it just flowed and developed as each chapter was written.
Troy B. Kechely Mostly through life experiences or talking with other people and learning about their unique situations.
Troy B. Kechely Keep your butt in the chair. Seriously, force yourself to take time to write otherwise your project will never get done. Set small goals such as one page a week or one chapter a month.
Troy B. Kechely I have finished the first draft of my second novel which is a continuation of the Redmond family that were the subject of my first novel. It is my hope to have the second draft complete by the end of the year.
Troy B. Kechely Often I use long walks with my dogs before sunrise to ponder specific issues in a story or character. This typically helps me get through any blocks.
