I just finished reading your novel Half in Love With Death and the backstory behind it. I loved how you gave the younger sister a voice in the story since in the true crime story she was known as the victim. Will you be writing a sequel?
Emily Ross Lisa, sorry for the delay. I just saw this question. Though there was little information on the actual victims of this crime, it was very important to me to give one of the victims of this crime a voice and a fictional life. No plans for a sequel right now but I guess never say never.

Emily Ross Currently working on a YA thriller about dance teams, the city of Quincy, and murder.

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?
Emily Ross I was struggling with the plot when my sister showed me an old Life Magazine article about a crime that had obsessed her when she was 12. As soon as I started reading about the Pied Piper of Tucson, I was hooked. Though I ended up veering far the facts of this case, it became the inspiration for my novel.
