Thanks for your question, Lindsay! I've been writing since I was around nine years old, so for almost ten years now :)

Thank you for your question! I first found out about human trafficking (the modern day slave trade) from my sister. She had read a book discussing the horrors of trafficking and had shared the information with me. Fighting against modern day slavery became a passion of mine, when a while later I heard an interview with an actual trafficking victim. And that's when God really gave me the desire to write "Not Abandoned". :)

I'm currently writing the sequel to my recently released novel, "Not Abandoned". So far, I've got 17,766 words and counting. :)

First, don't be afraid to talk to people and ask questions. I usually like to try and figure things out on my own, but it's much more helpful to ask someone who's already gone through the writing and publishing process! If you don't know anyone who's a writer, ask some of your friends if they know anyone. I have a friend who was able to get me in touch with some authors who have been so helpful through this process.
Secondly, just keep writing! Try to set a goal for yourself each day. For example: I'm going to write at least five pages today. And then stick to that goal. Be creative and don't be afraid to make mistakes!
