What mystery in your own life could be a plot for a book?
Mike Walters Oooh, good one. I have this recurring dream that I helped cover up someone's murder with my two best friends in high school. It haunts me.

Hi Mike. First of all I would like to say thank you for even giving everyone a chance to receive one of your books for free. My question is: I recently won one of the giveaways, but I live in apartments and I forgot to put the apartment number. Will it still ship to the apartments office? Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?
Mike Walters A combination of things really. The X-files and paranormal becoming more accessible and mainstream. Ancient Aliens on history channel for its ability to broad horizons and open minds to possibilities. And finally a fascination with Kachina Dolls and there uses.

How do you get inspired to write?
Mike Walters I am motivated at the desire to quit my day job. The only way this happens is if I win the lottery, I don't buy tickets so this is out, or I become successful enough to survive on writing. This is my inspiration to keep on writing.

Mike Walters Still Wilde in Outlaw River, the follow up the the debut sensation The Outlaw River Wilde.

Mike Walters I can't answer this yet. I am still aspiring myself.

What’s the best thing about being a writer?
Mike Walters A great way to cleanse the mind.

How do you deal with writer’s block?
Mike Walters I try to think about possibilities a good 30 minutes before I go to bed and see what happens. More time than not I dream about something pertinent. I also like to sit down and simply pick up where i left off and write about something very simple and character driven. I still get surprised at the direction that the story goes.
