Sue Coletta An apron hung in a deserted kitchen. Blood stained the bib.
Sue Coletta Great question, Megan. Originally, I thought Blessed Mayhem, Book 2 in Mayhem Series, would release before HACKED, but it didn't turn out that way. I tweaked the story so it didn't matter once my publisher told me Blessed would take another two weeks. Also, I made sure all the books could easily stand alone. Meaning, all three books, Wings of Mayhem, Blessed Mayhem, and HACKED, can be read out of order and still make sense. If you read Wings of Mayhem first, however, you'd discover how Shawnee and Levaughn got together and have a better understanding of why Shawnee is so distrustful and outwardly cold. Full-length novels can deliver much more characterization than novellas.
Sue Coletta Wow. Great question. I've experienced several mysterious events. When I scored my first publishing deal, I had just signed the contract and sent it back to the publisher. Not more than a minute or two later the phone rang. When I checked the caller ID it read “Amityville.” Nothing but static on the other end. To this day I swear my mother (whom I lost as a teenager) was sending her congratulations. What a creepy way to do it, though!
Sue Coletta Hmm...I'd have to say Sage and Niko Quintano from Marred and Cleaved, or they might hold it against me when writing book three of my Grafton County Series. ;-) #shamelessplug LOL
Sue Coletta Hahaha. Umm...what's his name? Canadian, former cop/coroner, firearms expert. His name's on the tip of my tongue. I'll get back to you on this. ;-)
Sue Coletta UPDATE: MARRED, CLEAVED, and Wings of Mayhem are all available in paperback. If you'd like an autographed copy, message me with your email and mailing addresses. For those who live within the US, postage is included in the price. For non-US residents, I don't mind shipping Internationally, but the shipping costs are high. I could find out the exact shipping details for your area before you decide. Not a problem.

Old answer: That's a bit tough now because the print version doesn't come out until 2016. However, I could mail you a postcard with the cover, blurb, and autograph on the back. Or, I could mail you an excerpt book, which includes the first chapter and personalize that for you. Would that work?
Sue Coletta I'm polishing Wings of Mayhem, thriller. Here's the logline... Never steal a killer's trophy box.
Sue Coletta I've honestly never had this problem.
Sue Coletta I love all aspects of being a writer. For instance, you can't beat the commute. LOL
Sue Coletta The murder scene came to me first. Then I built the story around that.
Sue Coletta If I waited for inspiration to strike, I'd rarely write. I write and read daily. No exceptions. I'm a big believer in making your dreams come true. Which won't happen if you wait to be inspired.
Sue Coletta Persistence pays off. Hold on to your dream and don't let anyone tell you, "You can't get published." Because you can!
Sue Coletta If you get in on the pre-release sale, Marred will automatically be delivered on November 11, 2015. Yeah, I thought it would be fun to answer questions. There's no better community than Goodreads, IMO.

Thanks for your interested in Marred!
