J.B. Schroeder Scotland and then Colonial America! I'd join Claire and Jaime, of course!
J.B. Schroeder I'd been looking for the right heroine for my widower Eddie Mackey (who appeared briefly in Unhinged), when I remembered an article I'd clipped and saved about a woman in a nearby town who films life stories for those who are terminally ill--so that their families have a lasting memory. She started out for one woman she knew and now it's a non-profit. I thought it was a wonderful idea, but as I writer does I was also thinking in terms of creating stories. Maybe there were clues left in one of these videos? The story evolved and changed as I thought about my characters--but that's where Miranda began!
Eddie and Miranda's story is called Uncovered and will be available late summer!
J.B. Schroeder It will probably forever be Claire and Jamie of Outlander series...why? sigh...because it's Claire and Jamie!!! Okay, I'll try to take a stab at the real why...they are strong, true, conflicted, deeply in love, able to talk, mad about each other, destined, funny, respectful...I could go on and on, but basically they feel real--despite the fantastical situation--and are even better people together than they are apart. There!
J.B. Schroeder Revising UNHINGED, which is a similar story to Runaway in that it's about a do-gooder, her match, and an unhinged villain right under their noses. Mitch from Runaway makes an appearance!
J.B. Schroeder The joy and you feel when you are actually writing! Such a happy, accomplished, exciting feeling...
