What’s your advice for aspiring writers?
David Tromblay Read whenever you have the chance, and write whenever and wherever you can. You can always get better. Always. The writer’s job is to make a mountain out of a molehill, to dwell on the details most others miss. Writing well does not require finite knowledge of a sublime subject. A great writer must make the mundane urbane. Nothing more.

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?
David Tromblay 'Ramblings' came about from my disappointment in finding that so many vampire books leaned on the lore that has arose in out pop culture since the first time a vampire first appeared on the silver screen. The real documented history was so much more compelling.

What are you currently working on?
David Tromblay My next book, Only The Names Have Been Changed, is a transgressive novel. Think of American Psycho meets David Copperfield.
