I saw your baseball movie thread from last Feb and looked up you profile. I'm new to goodreads. Would you be interested in my book about athletic speed? I would be happy to mail you a complimentary copy. I am a sport speed coach (and former NFL athlete) and one of my fave movie is Major League I. Sorry I have not responded sooner. Thank you for taking the time to read my post. I don't know that I would use your book about speed, because I am no longer a coach, or in the game, but I appreciate you taking the time to check in.

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?
J.D. Dudycha Well...my background is in baseball. I have numerous years of playing and coaching experience, so I took my baseball knowledge to create a world centered around an eighteen-year-old, and I know the pressures that come with trying to fit in inside the athletic world.

How do you deal with writer’s block?
J.D. Dudycha Get away from the piece for a couple days. I am an avid golfer, so I either play, or hit up the range to clear my head.

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?
J.D. Dudycha There is nothing worse then a blank page. Write and write...you can always go back and edit.

What are you currently working on?
J.D. Dudycha I am currently working on my next novel that I have entitled, "Sitting Dead Red." Apparently I like to stick with the color theme in my titles. The story follows a college baseball player through his collegiate summer league. Much like "Paint the Black," it will follow the baseball theme, but will be all about the human condition. I have included the first chapter at the end of "Paint the Black."
