I heard you went to Coppell High School, as I am currently attending and I really am so glad to here that. And I was wondering how did you get your big break? I heard you sent out a tweet about your book, but what about the process? How can an aspiring writer get published?
Aimee Hyndman The publishing process is a long road. I did a lot of research beforehand to prepare. I also wrote and perfected a query letter. I entered in a pitching competition on twitter and got notice from some agents. From there I kept on sending pages when they asked. First ten, then one hundred, then the full book. Eventually my current agent offered to sign me. Its really a matter of research and persistence. You can find a ton of blogs and online resources about the publishing process.
