Lyndi Stuart Well, I don't know if I am really qualified to give advice since I only have one release. But I will say follow your heart...if writing is what you want to do then do it. Even if you aren't great at it...you won't ever know until you try. It's something you can do even if you have a full time job and a family. Not everyone will like what you write, but it doesn't matter. There will be lots that do like it. Remember, you are doing it for you and your love for writing.
Lyndi Stuart Not very well. I'm stuck right now as a matter of fact. I'm having a hard time with a certain scene and I just can't write out of order. I can't move forward with the book until this scene is written. Ugghhhh!! HA!

But really, what I do is get my iPod and turn it up loud enough to drown out my three boys. I close my eyes and focus on the story--what my hero or heroine would do or not do in a situation and just let my mind take off once I get an idea. If that doesn't work, then I just take a break for a few days and come back to it.
Lyndi Stuart The best thing to me is that you can use your imagination. If there is a certain life you always wanted to live, you can live it through your characters. I have always wanted to become friends with famous musicians (I know...not gonna happen), so I write about musicians and what I believe their life is like.
Lyndi Stuart I am currently working on the second book in the Decadence Series. This one is about lead singer, Gabe Johansson. He was a pretty big jerk in the first book. I'm hoping to show everyone a different side to Gabe.
Lyndi Stuart It's simple really...music! Music is my first love and it brings out so many of my emotions. Songs help me focus. What is funny is that Decadence (the name of the band in my books) is a rock band and all the music that has inspired my story is country.
Lyndi Stuart Well, it was a time when I had Brantley Gilbert (sooo hot) and Chase Rice (equally hot) music on a loop in my car and at work. The words to several of the songs took me to a place where I imagined this guitarist who was tired of the life meets this normal girl who turns his world upside down. Every time I would hear the music it would bring the idea for the story to the front of my mind. I had to get it on paper and once I did it became "Perfect".
