I would need to live in a world where I would be comfortable, with a stable government and high quality of life. Most fantasy worlds are not like that and I can't think of any, off hand. I think perhaps I would like to be an elf in Middle Earth about to embark on the ship to the West. I always wondered what lay to the West.

I just recently discovered LitRPG and I've been absorbing them as fast as I can. I love discovering new genres.

The mystery on how and why my dog dotes on me so much. What is it about human and dog relations that result in such strong bonds? It is a mystery to me and one that could be explored in a novel. I know the answer lies in science and evolution but it is so fascinating. Don't you think?

I will most likely miss so many great fictional couples from the novels I have read and I apologise in advance for that.
The Deverry Cycle by Katherine Kerr probably has the most memorable couple that first comes to mind. Nevyn (pronounced No-One) and Jill live in a Celtic rebirth cycle where Nevyn must fulfil his oath to the gods. The love that spans rebirth and generations moves from novel to novel and pulls you along, hoping for closure and a final joy of an oath fulfilled.
I highly recommend the Deverry books. They are among my favourites.

Honestly? When I run I imagine all sorts of things. The very first scene of the book came to me one day and I thought, I should make him a druid just discovering his powers. Then it wrote itself.

It has become a part of my life now. Two years of it and I haven't grown tired of the creative process. All my life it has been the work that I do that gives me a sense of completion that mattered most to me. Cooking does that for me, writing software did that for me, and now writing does that for me. Writing is full of those "a-ha!" moments. That inspires me.

I am working on Craobh, A New Druids series, Volume Two. It is half way through the first draft. This book and the next are all plotted and sequenced. Just need to add the words!

Just do it. Seriously. I should have been writing my entire life. I turned away from it on finishing high school for fear of rejection. Don't be scared. Just do it.

Seeing my name on a book cover. Getting my hands on my author proof was a day I had imagined my entire life. That's the best thing!

I think most people imagine writer's block as a writer staring at a blank screen for hours on end. I see it more as not being in the right mindset for writing. If I have a deadline I will force myself to work through it. A really good and creative day can wipe out a bad "block" day.
