That's a hard question. I wanted to write a book about a guy from Texas named Bubba. Then I thought why not write a Christmas book set in Texas. Why not have my character named Candee Cain. It took off from there.
I got the idea for Stolen Laughter from a popular soap opera. One of the main characters several years ago wanted to leave the show so the series had the character disappear. Would everyone believe she was dead? What would happen if her husband saw her several months later in a crowed room? Where had she been? What happened to her? The book took off from there.

Since I was a little girl I have made up stories. Dreaming of made up scenes in a book is how I fall asleep. I can't ever remember not doing that. One day I decided to put those scenes down on paper and my writing career began.

My sister and I have just completed a book in a different genre than our normal romantic suspense. Christmas Candee is a romantic comedy set in Christmas, Texas. We are currently working on a sequel to Angel Falls and Crimson Roses. This book will be Kris and Dom's story. It should be available in early summer.

Everything. You get to live your character's life and go anywhere in the world you want to go. You set your own goals and I get great satisfaction from looking at my word count for the day.

It's funny because I really haven't ever experienced writers block. When I sit down in front of my computer things just pop into my head. I may have an idea of where I want to go but the characters talk to me and tell me what they want me to do.
