N.J. Lysk Entwined is now a full novel, which can be found on my website or certain retailers like GooglePlay and Kobo.
N.J. Lysk By writing. I know, sounds counterintuitive but the more I write, the more ideas I generate. If I'm stuck, I switch to a different story or go check my outline but once I've been writing for a certain number of days in a row... It's just sitting down. Also, seeing other people do cool things in their writing!
N.J. Lysk I switch stories, normally I can get the characters in the other story to do something. Sometimes I need to go back to do some extra outlining/checking a couple facts but I find switching stories works for me 99% of the time.
N.J. Lysk Never being bored :p
N.J. Lysk Put the timer on your phone/computer for 10 minutes, then write. If you need to, look up a writing prompt (there's generators and there's lists) and just go for it, it'll be hard at first but don't worry about grammar, punctuation, spelling. You can do this by hand or typing depending on what works best for you. After you are done, save the file with the word count you achieved. Repeat once a day (or more if you have time). One of the main issues with writing is fluidity, the other one is finding the time to do it, but who can't find ten (even five will do, but I found five was never enough) minutes a day? :) The only important part is that you do not stop so try and find a moment/place where you won't be interrupted. Don't worry about quality, once you know you can write, then you only need to apply that to whatever story/non-fiction idea you have.

N.J. Lysk KJ Charles' Sin of the Cities series. I'm just waiting for all books to be published before I delve in because I already know I'm not going to want to come back out!
N.J. Lysk I'm currently taking a break from book 3 of The Stars of The Pack (Protectors of the Pack) and editing/rewriting a long novel about two hockey players (and alpha and omega, but there's not shifting of any kind) who must work together and like each other a little too much for that run smoothly!
