Well, it's certainly not the money! From my friend and mentor, Ted Grant, I have leaned the value of giving back to the community. Helping photographers become better photographers is the best thing, whether it is through eBooks, seminars or instructional DVDs.

Presently, I am working on the third volume of the "Snap Shots to Super Shots" series ... a series designed to help a person move from being a "snap shooter" to being a true photographer. This third volume is at a more advanced level than the first two, which are aimed at the neophyte.

For years, I have taught photography (generally at photographer's conventions) in the Germany, the USA and my home country of Canada. After the seminar, I'd invariably be asked, "Do you have a book? I'd buy your book if you have one!" But, I didn't have a book. But, using these seminars as a basis, I have finally produced three.

It originally was to be a short appendix to a book that never got written, some 10 years ago. Over time, it grew and grew, until it became a book in itself.
