If you're an aspiring writer start writing! Make an attempt to write something daily, the length does not matter and try not to waste time worrying about grammar and punctuation right away, just get words on the page! Reading is also important. Read from various genres/authors so that you develop a better understanding of how well-written literature flows (reading also expands your vocabulary).

The idea for my most recently published book came to me as I was thinking about the mistakes I've made as a mother and how my children could have turned out if not for God's intervention in my life. While thinking about those things I began to wonder if I would have made fewer mistakes if someone had cared enough to educate me.

To put it simply without giving too much away, I'm currently working on a book about sexual relationships.

When I have writer's block, I step away from the project I'm working on and try to clear my thoughts. I go outside and just look around while enjoying the fresh air and then I walk around my home while praying silently with "soaking music" playing softly in my headphones or on my laptop.
