Aaron L. Smith I get inspired to write when I know there is a purpose and a sense of direction. Sometimes I get an idea in the middle of the night and there are times when it hits me right in the middle of the day. When there are those times that I can not focus completely on the book, I jot down some ideas or diagrams that will re-jog my memory whenI have the opportunity to focus on doing a good draft.
Aaron L. Smith There were times when I just didn't feel it coming together and I would not write until I got in the mood. I would do some other type of planning, organizing or research that needed to be conducted until I felt as if I was ready to sit down and focus.

One thing that did help me is to have a consistent time to sit down and attempt to write. It was early in the morning before I started my work day and the kids were up.

Aaron L. Smith Dream big and do a lot of planning. I never realized how hard it was to write a book and the timeline in which it all comes together. If you feel like it is your niche then don't hesitate to dive in and start writing on something you are passionate about in your life.
Aaron L. Smith Currently, I am doing some review on Hattie's research and tying it into STEM Education. Since there is no evidence that I have seen thus far, I am looking at how it can be implemented into our program. Once I feel comfortable in the results, then I'll begin to share this with colleagues.
Aaron L. Smith I got the idea for the book as I began to notice things that were happening at Aviation Academy that other schools weren't doing on a consistent basis. The more that I heard from our business partners, the more I realized that there was a story to tell and that we must all work together as parents, businesses and educators to maximize our efforts to make all students College, Career and Citizen Ready.
