It began with journaling as therapy for my physical and metal illnesses.
Poetry helped me to release the myriad of emotions hiding in the darkness and bring them into the light where I could see and wrestle with them.
Eventually, the result was my memoir.

To be candid, writing is a gift I have been blest with all of my life.

I reread what I have already written...again & again & again, perhaps doing a partial or entire rewrite. If that doesn't work, I walk away for an hour or two, or for a day, a week, or longer. Eventually, the block disappears.
