I've actually used some of my own life story in Exposed, and it was very cathartic. However, to add to that, there are other things that could be used as a plot in a book. For example, one of my friends in junior high kept running away from home. After we moved, she and I lost touch and now I can't find her. If I let myself imagine it, I could come up with dozens of reasons as to why that is. I was reunited with another friend from junior high after not speaking for almost 20 years. She found me on Facebook. The thing is, there are so many different things in our lives that can be used for a plot.

Sometimes I do word games, sometimes I take a break, and sometimes i talk it out with friends. Not everything works every time, so it is good to have a few different techniques in your back pocket.

Letting my imagination flow. I love creating new things and writing helps me to do that. I get to transport people even for a little bit through my stories.

If you have a story to tell, tell it. Don't let others stand in your way or dissuade you. That said, also listen to the people that you ask for help. Your beta readers and editors are reading it from a different perspective than you and they want to add to your story to help you succeed. If there is something you don't agree with, talk it out. Never give up on your dreams.

I'm currently working on Exposed (Book One of the Love Seekers Series). It will be a trio of standalones that have characters that intermix. I'm just working on edits now and it will be in readers hands on Sept 8.

I find inspiration almost anywhere. I just love to write and if I see something that gives me an idea for a story, I will write it down. Some turn into my fanfictions and some will turn into my books. I've gotten inspiration from my own life, my friends, the news, and music.

I got sick in 2010 which caused me to become disabled. Initially, they diagnosed me with myasthenia gravis. And my latest book deals with a lot of the feelings and my own personal journey after I got sick. It was weird because I was working on a different project and had a dream. The next morning I put the other project on the back burner and started writing Exposed.
