I'm hoping to catch up a few more Catholic YA books. I Am Margaret by Corinna Turner and McCracken and the Lost Island by Mark Adderley are on the top of my list.

I've always loved Mr. Darcy and Elizabeth Bennet, I thoroughly enjoy their interactions.

Thanks for the question. I always love hearing from new friends. This story - The Perfect Blindside - was kind of unique because the story just kept coming to me and I didn't really have to think about it very much. Since then I have written a few more stories (one of which is coming out in October) and the process has been a little different for those books. In those I did have ideas that popped into my head but they were more random. I did write them down and eventually other ideas grew from them or I realized some of the ideas that seemed completely unrelated could work together in a story. So my advice would be to jot down the ideas in a notebook and every so often look back through the notes. The mind is an amazing and creative tool and sometimes a new creative thought will be sparked by an old idea. (Of course there are always those stray ones that never really work anywhere but even they can get your mind thinking in other ways.) Hope this helps! Keep writing and creating!

Thanks! I'm glad you like the title. The other books I have been working on are not related to The Perfect Blindside. However, I have been brainstorming ideas for a sequel and hope to start writing it this spring.

The story of The Perfect Blindside quite literally popped into my head. My book club was reading a Young Adult novel and I became interested in the idea of a story seen from two different points of view. Characters and scenes just started coming to me until I finally had to start writing them down. Even though the initial idea came quickly, it took years of rewriting, editing and opening rejection letters before it was published.

I have a few more Young Adult novels in the works. They all are filled with mystery, adventure, romance, humor and Christian values.

I get to create stories while sitting in the comfort of my home drinking coffee.
