I usually have something that inspires me to write poetry or I am working on "Pink Tootsie's" social media package. I have been mulling over picking up a book I began writing 10 years ago but haven't crossed that bridge yet.

Just because you write something does not make you a writer. Being able to tell a good story is what makes you a writer. Engaging your audience. Writing is not about being right, it is about taking risks and expressing yourself.

Although you never know how people will respond to your work. It is the time you discover you have made a difference in someones life that makes it all worth while.

The thing I write most commonly is poetry. I usually have an inspiration when I write it so the writers block (if you can call it that) is when I'm searching for the perfect word. One trick I use is to write the alphabet at the top of the page so I can substitute the first letter of any word until I find the one I like!
