Everyone has an idea for a book inside them, it is just having the knowledge to get it out and onto paper or onto the computer in a useful order...
get inspiration and talk through your idea with someone you know who you trust will not just say "that is nice!"... you need feed back!

Get out and get some fresh air... escape the office and do something totally different. Watch a movie, go for a run... clear the mind.
then come back and I find something pops back into my mind...

A long time ago (17 years to be exact), I was thrown head first into the darkest depths of the Borneo rainforest on a three month expedition to Brunei and Sabah with Raleigh International.
Jungle Jim was born...
"It was only a matter of time before he realised his destiny was to combine all he had learnt from this experience and make something of his own wild ideas.
He has taken inspiration from the people he met and the places he has visited, the mythology and local legends surrounding his own experiences of surviving in the darkest depths of the Borneo rainforest. The three-month expedition to Brunei and Sabah, with Raleigh International, in 1998 allowed him to jump in the deep end and experience a life that many would never get to see. Taking his diary and a love of ancient civilisations he evolved them into the fictional story of ‘Jungle Jim and the Shadows of Kinabalu’; the beginning of an epic adventure that mixes ancient mythology with a little monster bashing madness, topped off with a little sparkle of magic to save the world, as we know it, from total destruction."

Hello... the best thing about being a writer is to share experiences and adventures with other people allowing them to immerse themselves and escape into my imagination.
