This is a tough question. Honestly, I have no answer as of yet. I am considering the next book to be the last in the series, a final conclusion to Dax and Drakthira's adventure, but it is so hard to let go of characters I have come to love so much.
I have had a lot of changes in my life within the past year. I moved to another state, dealt with some empty nest issues, struggled to find a permanent job (which I have now, thankfully) in my new state of residence, so I really haven't had time to sit down and start writing the fourth book yet. I can tell you this much, though, I am hoping to actually start the book in the next month. From there, it could go very quickly (I find once I start writing, all my ideas go out the window as new ones rush in to take over) or slowly, depending on how the fast the ideas start flowing.
I appreciate all of my fans, and especially ones like you that take the time to take an interest in what is going on with me and my books. I will try to get better at updating my Goodreads and Facebook pages. Thank you for your question, your interest, and your patronage.

Hi Pat!
That's great, and let me be the first to say congratulations on winning! This is the second book in the series, and I really hope you like it. If you would like to read the first book, you can get a digital copy for free on smashwords by using coupon code EW88B. I plan on having all the winner's copies of the book in the mail by this weekend at the latest, so it should arrive for you shortly, and of course, I'd love to hear your feedback. Good or bad, it just makes me a better writer.
Thanks again!

Sometimes I get inspired by dreams, or simply things I think up at random. Other times, like with Dragons of Daegonlot, I got inspired by the "Eragon" books. After reading them, and don't get me wrong, I did enjoy them, but I thought to myself, why would a dragon ever allow a human to tell them what to do? I mean, if I were a dragon, I wouldn't...

Currently I'm working on the second book in the Dragons of Daegonlot series, it will be titled "Into the Myste" and will give more details on the Myste, as well as Sylas and Dax, 'Thira and Trakon. I've got about four chapters written so far and I'm really liking where it's going.
I'm also working on another story, a darker type fantasy story that I hope will end happily once we reach that place, but it's far off for now. It will be called "Crow Reaver: The Beginning" and it will also be a series of novellas most likely.

Practice, and never give up. There are so many options out there now to get a book published. My first book, which is the only one I have published right now, I did myself on Amazon. I paid someone on fiverr.com to make my cover and off I went. The hardest part is getting your book noticed, but I believe that, too, will come in time.

Creating life is the best thing I think. It's crazy how attached people can get to characters in a story, myself included. Writing allows you to create a life and snuff it out all with the stroke of a pen, or the press of a key. It can be quite exhilarating.

I don't think I have yet to encounter real writer's block. At the most I sometimes can't figure out exactly how I want to describe something, or I start writing and realize afterwards that isn't how I want it. Then I have to scrap it and start all over. I will admit that sometimes I take a few days off and simply try not to think about what I'm writing, then I can usually come back to it with a fresh set of eyes and ideas.
