Casey Browning I walk away. I either go to a different book I'm working on and work with that or I just walk away completely. Because when I get away from it, often, I will have ideas pop in my head or some source of inspiration that gives me a great idea and then I can go back and continue. I feel confident in walking away because I know I will have that inspiration a little later and I'd rather have it flow and be inspired than to force it and have it be clunky.
Casey Browning I haven't experience too much yet. I will need to answer this again down the road. But so far, its pretty cool to have a copy of your book in your hands.
Casey Browning Don't give up. If I could upload that video of Shia Labeouf telling the actors he was talking to, to just do it I would. I have had my failures so far but I'm still chugging along. I am going to succeed with my books. That's the attitude you need. You need to have have confidence in yourself and do what it takes.
Casey Browning I have about 4 other titles that I have completed and am working on getting a literary agent and or publishing company to publish the books for me.
I have about 6 others that I am still working on finishing. My favorite, so far, is Barry's Berries. That book is hilarious and makes me giggle. It had my wife almost to tears she was laughing so hard. That book has a lot of what I grew up enjoying with movies. I am a big Mel Brooks fan and it seems like something Mel Brooks would have come up with.

My biggest project I am working on is my Kaptain and Chucklez series. I have been working on those books for about 3 years now. They have gone under a lot of refinement and work. However, the work is paying off because they are turning out to be masterpieces, in my eyes. I am also working to get these published.
Casey Browning I write in spurts. When an idea comes to me the writing is very simple. Words just come to me and everything flows. This is when I do my best work. When I force myself to sit there and work on a piece it ends up being a lot more clunky and unrefined.
Writing children's books and having kids of my own go hand in hand. They are the inspiration for most of the books I have written.
Casey Browning I always wanted to write a book that people would read more than just once. As I have read books to my children I realized that I read the same holiday books every year. I wanted to write a holiday book that people loved to read to their children every year. One day the rhymes for the first four stanzas of the book came to my mind and I wrote them down. It took about another month or two of fiddling around with it before it came to be what it is now.
