Martina McAtee Book 4 will release in December of this year. Sometime around the 21st. I should warn you this isn't the last book in the series, just the next book. There will likely be several more books. Three or four more books.
Martina McAtee Yes. I am in the process of re-editing the book and when it re-releases in paperback in November there will be a New Adult option as well as a Young Adult option.
Martina McAtee I'm shooting for a December release so look for it just before Christmas. I'm editing as fast as I can. <3
Martina McAtee Yes, it will be coming into print soon in a YA and an NA version.
Martina McAtee It's still in the works. I don't have any specific time frame. I want to finish Book 4 before I work on Mace's novella. But it's still on the books for sure.
Martina McAtee This is set up to be most likely 7 books total. There will be probably 3 prequels, possibly a few novellas and at least two possible spin-off series. This world kind of has a mind of its own. I'd like to say there is an end date but I'm putting out about 2 books a year so this could be a while. I hope you'll stick it out for the long haul. <3 PS I kind of have a crush on Quinn as well.
Martina McAtee That is an amazing question...I guess the mystery in my own life I'd love to solve is how my mother always knew when somebody was going to die just by looking at them. She used to say she would just look at a person and sometimes she would just see a skull instead of a face and that's how she knew they were going to die soon. To this day, I still wonder.
Martina McAtee Oh Gosh, that's like asking who my favorite child is. I have so many favorite fictional couples. Felicity and Oliver from Arrow, Buffy and Spike from Buffy, Oliver and Connor from How to Get Away with Murder...I could literally go on forever. I guess if I had to pick like one OTP its Kurt and Blaine from Glee (Yes, I watched Glee)
Martina McAtee That's a great question. This book started out with the idea of a trilogy but it is becoming more apparent to me every day that three books just won't do. There will more than likely be 4-5 main books in the series but I'm also kicking around the idea of at least three novellas and a full novel based on Mace's former life. Oh, and a possible spin-off series revolving around characters you'll meet in book 2.
Martina McAtee I would say it depends on what your goals are. If you are planning on offering your print book online CreateSpace is a great option, they are reasonably priced and they do good work. However, if you have any hopes of getting into brick and mortar stores you need a distributor such as Ingram Spark that allows returns and offers retailers a significant discount. If you stick with strictly CreateSpace, there is little chance of getting into brick & mortar stores.
Martina McAtee I am self-published and I promote my books through various groups on Facebook as well as by doing virtual book tours, guest posts and building up my social media profiles with giveaways.
Martina McAtee I read a lot. I people watch a lot. I watch way too much television. All of that inspires me.
Martina McAtee I got the idea for the second book (the one I'm currently working on) from a dream I had six years ago. I wrote almost the entire book and then it was lost in a computer crash in 2010. I was devastated but I soon realized two things, 1. back up your work. 2. I needed the first book to set up the premise for my second book and that's how Book 1, Children Shouldn't Play with Dead Things came about.
Martina McAtee I'm currently working on the sequel to Children Shouldn't Play with Dead Things.
Martina McAtee The best thing about being a writer is writing the stories I want to read.
Martina McAtee I just write my way through it. Sometimes I end up with garbage but it will usually help unblock my creativity.
