I step away from my computer and do something else. Ideas have flowed to me when I was at the kitchen sink, washing dishes. Then I run back to my desk!

The best and worst thing about being a writer is that it is a process. This process forces you to go through the stages of developing a structure with movable, interacting parts (if you will). If everything doesn't somehow come together it is incomprehensible-No matter what is happening in your head, it must be able to translate well to a reading audience.

I'm rewriting a book previously entitled Revelations Of A Promise which inspires women through a series of short stories. The title of the new book is, Chronicles of a Well Woman-The Bliss Fix.

I, simply am a writer. I wake up and say, "Today, I'm going to write!" Music can aid the process. Sometimes, strong memories surface and they become a part of the characters reasoning capacity.

When I heard the quick-witted and intelligent dialogue in shows like Scandal and Being Mary Jane it stiirred memories of old movies. The drama was palpable, the characters were strong.
I coupled that energy with the things I was passionate about and the characters practically walk right off the page.
