What helps me is music or even going for a walk. Whenever I plan the next chapter I always listen to music and just let the scenes play out naturally in my head. It's like watching a movie. When I have the chapter completed in my head I'll write down the chapter summary in a notebook and start writing the chapter on the computer. That really helps me with writer's block.

Being able to inspire others and getting my work out there in the world. I really want people to enjoy the stories that are trapped up inside my head that are desperate to be written down on paper. I understand that my writing may not be for everyone, and that's okay. All I can do is keep on going and work on the next project.

Honestly? Keep writing. Even if others try to tear you down and say you'll never be a real writer, just keep writing. I've had "friends" in the past say that writing was a waste of time and that I'll never be published because of my learning disability. They would always say that they were looking out for me, but that wasn't true at all. I proved them wrong, and you can do the same. Just keep working on your craft. Practice. Practice. Practice. I swear you can do it. I believe in you.

I am currently working on Untimely Love's sequel. There will be four novels total in this series and I am so excited to share my imagination with the world.

What inspires me is getting messages from others saying I had inspired them to pursue their dreams, whether that's writing, music, art, or whatever it is that they're pouring their souls into. I love inspiring others, and if my work can help even just one person, then that inspires me to keep going down this path.

I wrote my most recent novel, Untimely Love, back in 2013 during a very dark time in my life. My grandmother, who I was extremely close with, had passed away all of a sudden right before my birthday back in 2012. The reason why it took so long to publish was because I had severe self doubts about my work. I used the novel as a coping mechanism, so there are a lot of raw emotions poured into this novel. I had put so much of myself into this story and was just afraid of putting my full self out there. I'm glad that I finally published the novel last month, and I honestly wish I had done it sooner. I'm currently working on the sequel and I am so excited to share that with the world soon.
