I just finished Can't Help falling, and I was wondering if there was any chance of Victor having his own story one day? I know he is kind of a terrible person, but he can change, right? :-)

I absolutely believe that people can change. Even imaginary ones you've made as terrible as possible ;-) So, yes! He will have his own story eventually. There are two other books that will be published first and then it will be his turn :)

I just finished reading Then There Was You, my first one of your books. I loved it! I was wondering if there was a series in the making with that one?I would love to see Sarah and Kat's stories.

The answer is (fingers crossed!) yes. I'm currently brainstorming Kat's story and I certainly hope to one day write Sarah's as well.

If you'd like to see more of Kat in the meantime she also appears as a secondary character in my debut novel, Close To You :)

What books are on your summer reading list this year?
Kara Isaac So many books (though it's winter reading list in New Zealand :) ) In particular I am excited about Katie Ganshert's Life After, Becky Wade's True To You, Nicole Deese's A New Shade of Summer and Tammy Gray's My Unexpected Hope.

What’s the best thing about being a writer?
Kara Isaac The absolute best thing about being a writer is hearing from readers! When you spend most of your time by yourself in front of a laptop, hearing from real people that they love your pretend characters as much as you do is amazing :)

Without a doubt my favourite place to visit is the Queenstown Lakes District. Stunning scenery, so much to do whatever the season and offers so many of the best things about New Zealand in one area. If you're flying direct from the US, I'm assuming you're arriving in Auckland airport and it's an easy 90 minute flight from there or a 30-60 minute flight from other main airports. My family and I will be down there on holiday later in the year :)

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?
Kara Isaac Perseverance and community! It will be just over ten years between when I first started writing to my debut novel being released this month. Close To You was my fourth completed manuscript but I know many authors who have written more than that before they received their first contract. Also, surround yourself with other writers. If not in "real" life then virtually. Only other writers truly understand what goes into creating a story where your characters are as real to you as your own family :) (sometimes I still think about Jackson and Allie and wonder how they are doing!)

What are you currently working on?
Kara Isaac I'm about to start rewrites on Book#2 (it does actually have a better title than that but I'm waiting to see if my publisher will let me keep it!). They arrived from my editor last week and are due 10 January. Very thankful I have a decent amount of time off from my "real" job over Christmas to get them done!
