Bruce Gannaway I usually have more than one project on the go so if I'm blocked I move onto something else for a short time. It's also a good time to read over completed work and do any editing and tweaking that's required.
Bruce Gannaway The best thing about being a writer is researching and creating new worlds and new characters. I always feel a part of those worlds as I'm writing and feel myself forming bonds with the characters as they evolve.
Bruce Gannaway Never give up on your dream of becoming a published writer. Keep working on that manuscript and when the opportunity comes grab hold with both hands and don't let go. Above all else, keep writing.
Bruce Gannaway I'm currently working on a sequel to 'The Last Eaglehawk' which will take readers forward 67 years to 2009. In 'The Lost Eaglehawk' the events of 1942 still reverberate and a search begins for a missing plane wreck that could rewrite history and change the lives of all those involved. I hope to have the manuscript completed and ready to submit by the end of this year.
Bruce Gannaway I love to write. Writing takes my imagination to different places and different worlds and helps me escape from everyday pressures. I love how unexpected things happen when I write. Whenever I pick up my pen or turn on my computer I wonder where the story will take me next. More than anything else it's the unexpected twists in a story that inspire me.
Bruce Gannaway The main inspiration for 'The Last Eaglehawk' was my children, watching them skillfully play flight sims and other computer games. Also a small half-size mock up fighter-plane that I began building in my garage almost twenty years ago, gradually evolved into the basis for the 'Eaglehawk' aircraft featured in the story.
