If I were going to get away from anything realistic, I'd want to travel to the Star Wars universe. Star Wars has been part of my cultural "upbringing" for nearly my whole life.
I also wouldn't mind peaking in (but not living in) the Southern worlds that Flannery O'Connor and Lee Smith's works inhabited.
