J.C. Russo I really don't know. One day, I was driving, and before I knew it, I needed to get to a pen and notebook to write down what I was formulating in my head. My ideas just come to me. It's a blessing and a curse.
J.C. Russo I have never gotten writer's block. I have gotten writer's laziness many times, and I haven't yet figured a way around that. :)
J.C. Russo For me, the best thing about being a writer is creating a character I fall in love with, a character that I live and breathe for months, sometimes years, at a time. I love that feeling.
J.C. Russo Don't stop. Write every day of your life. Whether it's a page of stream of consciousness garble or a full-length epic novel -- don't ever stop writing. When you can feel it in your bones, when you can't wait another moment to get to your laptop or computer or spiral bound notebook, throw yourself into it. And don't ever stop.
J.C. Russo Currently, I am in the editing phase of a lesbian fiction novel about a woman who goes to prison for murder. It is highly emotionally charged. And that's all I'm going to say at this point. :)
J.C. Russo I actually get a lot of inspiration through daydreams. My daydreams are very visual, and they can also become rather convoluted. But there are some that are emotional, and those stick with me. I have pages of outlines of daydreams that I'd like to turn into novels someday soon.
