I work on something else. I suffered from block for about six weeks and it was over the stupidest things. Three words written and I was off like a shot again. Three words, that's all that was blocking me. I don't even remember what it was that hung me up I just remember I sat down one day and re read what I had so far and at the end I typed three words then cussed myself and kept going.

Books are portable magic that take you to wonderful world, to write is to be a magician of a special kind. I take myself to some wonderful places and some scary ones too but each world I explore in my writings is amazing, too bad editing cuts out some of the things readers will never see.

Write every thing the story has to say then find a good editor and cut out the crap that doesn't tell your story but hangs on slowing it down.

Several things. The next book I had to step away from for a while. My wife, brother and I are sketching out a short story she started years ago and now I have come up with a fuller story so that just hit the drawing board. Also there is a few chapters in another book waiting for me to get back to about a murder. And lastly I am also sketching out a vampire story. I hope I can pull it off because the villain isn't really a villain and the hero isn't really a hero.

Once I get an idea of what the character is like in my head it's as if they come alive up there and they start telling me the story. Some of them go off on some crazy tangents. Either writing a short story, which I have done for years or a book, (The new one will be ready early next year) but as soon as I finish writing their story they shut up.

Twitter, I had a Twitter account and didn't know what to do with it. I had been using an app called Zombies, Run! a great workout app and so I thought I can write a zombie story on twitter. I started tweeting the story and as followers kept asking for more detail and clamoring for a story I stopped tweeting and started writing. This book is that end result.
