The beginning of life on Earth seems very unlikely without help. Panspermia is a possibility. I accept the theory of evolution by natural selection once life gets started but the very beginning of life seems mysterious. I often wonder if there is some pressure or influence that we're not yet aware of that kick starts it. Nothing supernatural, just a hidden pressure or process that sparks life off. It's worth remembering that Darwin didn't know about DNA or genetics when wrote 'On the Origin of Species.' I just wonder what we don't yet know.
