A nice long walk or bouncing ideas off people, usually my wife, and talking through my "stuck point" will get me through it. Sometimes its just a matter of sitting down and writing through it, with multiple ideas going, until one sticks.

I am currently working on a dystopian sci-fi novel entitled "Bad Neighbors" at this point, but that is a working title in reality. Our world has made first contact with an alien species, but a simple cold virus was brought with them. This virus, similar in nature to our own viruses, causes our bodies to adapt as well as evolve to deal with the changes wrought by the virus. This simple chain of events is the herald of a new age that was prophesied by the Native Americans long ago in the "Seven Fires Prophecy." Chapters 1 through 5 have been posted here as a teaser to the rest of the novel that will be published later this year.
