Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?
Jessica Ashe I'm a lawyer, so the story for Foster had been in the back of my mind for a while. Finally decided to actually write it!

How do you get inspired to write?
Jessica Ashe Reading other books helps, but to be honest, paying my rent is a big factor in keeping me motivated!

What’s the best thing about being a writer?
Jessica Ashe It may sound cheesy and cliche, but it really is the communication from readers. Book sales are just numbers on a spreadsheet, but the feeling when people tell you they liked the book or that it touched them in some way is unbeatable.

What are you currently working on?
Jessica Ashe A bad-boy romance novel. Denton is heir to a crime syndicate in Chicago. Chloe is an undercover FBI agent tasked with bringing him down.

I'm having a lot of fun writing this one (I always wanted to be an FBI agent!)

Jessica Ashe You're first book is going to be bad. Write it anyway.

How do you deal with writer’s block?
Jessica Ashe Write anyway, even if it's going to be bad. I move onto another chapter if necessary. Anything to get words on the page. The longer you go without writing, the harder it is to get started again.
