My intent was to write a ghost story based on real events that occurred while sharing an apartment in Brooklyn, NY. The story starts out that way, but that was the forced mechanical writing that I mentioned earlier. Once I connected with the energy that produces creativity, the source that creates something out of nothing, another entirely new story unfolded.

That's a tough question. I have no writing ritual. My thoughts are my inspiration, I guess. Whenever flashes of the story surface inside my consciousness, I write. That could happen at any moment - when I'm cooking or cleaning or walking or well...at anytime.

I am working on the next book in the series of Camille and the Bears of Beisa. I have only a vague hint of the story-line. I will learn more as the story unfolds.

Don't wait for the right time or inspiration. Writing is a risky undertaking which exposes every vulnerability. It requires courage and discipline. So just write. The beginning will feel mechanical and forced, but once you connect to that substance, creative consciousness, you will experience a wondrous purging that is both magical and mystical.
