Bethany Ebert I... don't know. My life does not really fit the "mystery-novel" genre. I think it would probably be more like "alternative chick-lit" or possibly a cookbook.
Bethany Ebert I love designing book covers. Art has always been one of my favorite hobbies, and I enjoy the chance to express myself. The main reason I chose to self-publish instead of going through an agent was so I would have creative control over my book covers.
Bethany Ebert I don't believe in writer's block. Whenever I feel like writing, I write. I know many novelists are more disciplined than myself, but for me I like having the control over when I work and when I have fun. If I don't feel like writing, I surf the internet, play computer games, clean the house, make elaborate meals, etc. - I like to stay grounded in the "real world" since so much of writing involves fantasy. I think a lot of people like to stress out about writer's block, but if you make your non-writing time productive, it's not something to feel bad about.
Bethany Ebert Thank you, Preston! It's good to hear people like my work. Right now I have a short book of haiku available, called Square. It's also on Smashwords. I don't have any plans for additional poetry collections at this time, but it's a possibility. Right now I'm working on two new M/M romance books.
