Thanks for the question, and my first book character was probably Boo or Toodles or something like that. I’ve always written so I was likely four years old and the book two pages long with illustrations :)
First published book; Vilda. I picked that because it means “the wild one” in Swedish, and because that’s who she is. Linked back to that when I called the first girl in the spin off series Wilder... because she is.
I pick my names pretty deliberately, most of the time, and probably spend way too much time googling their origins and what they really mean.
And yeah, haven’t swooned yet :)

Oooh, great question! Something like this?
"Mist filled with howls from the wild coming in from the woods like a roiling blanket of fear; choking me, churning me, warning me. Silently screaming, I run for my safety, the one who will help, but he turns, and I see in his eyes where the mist had begun..."

Wow. All over the place? From my kids, my home by the beach and my home in the mountains, pictures and paintings, my friends, trips I've been on, stuff people say and other writers that are much more brilliant than I'll ever be... From life I guess?

I'm currently in the middle of the first draft of Sweet Water, Book 2 in my Birds of a Feather series.
Wilder (book #1) is just released and cool, strong girls with flaws and foibles have always intrigued me, both in books and IRL, so I am thoroughly enjoying myself with this series.
Drafting is also the best part of writing for me. I love letting all pour into my computer as fast as I can type. Grammar and punctuation are far into the future, and I don't worry too much about stuff like using 'but' gazillion times. The polishing comes later and right now it's all about Jinx and her story...
