I don't think I've ever suffered from writer's block. I have more story ideas at the moment than I have years left to live probably. Now, self-doubt, on the other hand, that's a daily struggle. Distraction is also a mother-of-all demons that has to be closely guarded, or it will inevitably get loose and run rough-shot over your writing schedule.

The freedom to create and the opportunity to craft and construct. Words are a kind of magic. For myself, there's a little bit of me in every character I write, so, writing is the best way to experience a taste of every bit of life imaginable. Even that which is unimaginable.

At the moment, I'm working on the edits for a new series called SACRED. It is based on an alternative interpretation of the book of Revelation and the end of the world. The first book is called SACRED the Circle and is the beginning of what's to come. Get ready. You're gonna love it!

I'm mostly inspired by solving problems in stories. Characters have their own lives, their own issues - like the rest of us, none of them are perfect. The reality of it is, I'm not usually "inspired" to write, but "harassed" into it, because my characters won't leave me alone. Once I finish a book, though, they're pretty quiet. At least, until a sequel comes along....

I actually wrote the first draft of IN THE MEADOW back in 2009, with a much different intent for the main character, Dawn McKensie. I'd just learned about the Dalton Highway in Alaska, and, if I remember right, I thought about the premise driving home one night and the story basically took on a life of its own from there.
