Hello, hello my dearest SmuttyMutty! :)
Yes, I am still writing. I'm just catching up... A lot of personal stuff was happening that prevented me from finishing the series as it got too close to home (long story...). The book is still in the works and most likely will be released by the end of this year or early 2019. In less than two weeks, THIS DUKE OF MINE will be released and it features Quincy Barlow and Ridley and will give insight to what REBORN will be about. It's a little in between the two :) Hope you're having a great summer and thank you for being so patient *smooches*

Hello my dearest!
I had a blast recording Lady of Pleasure and plan on doing more *time willing, lol* Thank you so much for letting me know you enjoyed my narration as it will motivate me to do more :) And no, no movies. Historicals, unless classics or specialized, don't really get a lot of attention from the Hollywood crown. BBC does the job Hollywood won't, tho, so who knows ^_^ Thanks for being a "listener" and reader! It means so much to me.

My dearest Cintia,
I'm so honored you would ask me this question given I know what writing means to me. There is no one answer to this, given how personal a writer's block can be. I only gave up writing and found myself unable to write during one period of my life. When the love of my life (my husband) was almost murdered in front of me and my kids. It was hard to write anything about the humanity of life when life had shown me its worst. I quickly found however, that I, as a person, do not function well if I am not writing. I call it free therapy :) -- Just ask yourself one very simply question: why am I not writing? If you don't know the answer to that, you need to find the answer to it and above all...inspire yourself. I highly recommend a book called THE FIRE IN FICTION by Donald Maass. It will light a fire in you and remind you what writing should be and can be. Join a local writing organization either near you or online. They will hold you to deadlines. As a writer, if you are not held accountable for your writing, it's easy to let it get away from you. So set aside your fears, surround yourself with awesome writers and just write. I know you'll get over this. Inspire yourself and it will come. Big hugs to you and I *know* you'll be writing soon!! Have faith in yourself and the words will come.
Much love,
Delilah Marvelle

At this point, I owe you a free audible book, lol. It's coming, I swear! It's done and now I have to get the copy from the audio guy so I can upload it. Don't know what his schedule is, so I'm waiting to hear back on that. I won't give dates because you'll just freakin kill me, lol, but I swear the moment that sucker is up, you'll be the first to know of it. Thank you SO MUCH for being the most patient girl known to humanity. *hugging you* You are awesome!!!

You are an angel and I'm the devil, lol. If you give me another month, I promise I'll deliver this time around. My recording and sound guy had a family thing and so now you aren't waiting on me but him. I should have an exact date in about 2-3 weeks. I don't see it being too much longer. It's just a matter of getting him to break up all the things that were recorded into chapters so I can upload them. Thank you SO much for being patient. I only hope you're going to enjoy my narrative, because it would suck major ballocks if you waited all this time and then I never hear from you again, lol. Thanks for being patient! I promise I'll post the moment I have more info!

Hello my dearest Niki!
Congrats on winning The Duke of Andelot and I'm so thrilled you're now hunting down my other books! Yay! And no, you didn't spoil the other books in the series for yourself, lol. The Duke of Andelot was written to come full circle. It basically starts 30 years before the entire series starts, and therefore can technically be read before the series or after, so you're golden ^_^ Thanks for saying hi!!!
Much love,
Delilah

Hello my dearest Tracy! I'm so excited that you're excited, lol. I was hoping to have had the Audible version out by now, but fell behind on finishing my latest book, which tossed Lady of Pleasure's audio recording on hold. I'm hoping to release Lady of Pleasure in Audible by mid-December. It could be sooner but the project has to be mastered and I prefer to give you a later date than a sooner one :) Plan for December 20th the latest. It's the first time with me going into the studio and so I'm trying to make sure it's everything it needs to be. Once I get the hang of it, I have no doubt, the rest of the School of Gallantry Book in audible(Night of Pleasure, Romancing Lady Stone, Master of Pleasure and the Duke of Andelot) will come out within a month or two of each other :) Sorry about the delay!!! I swear I'm working hard, lol.

I have always wanted to write an arranged marriage story. With Night of Pleasure, I decided to take a road that usually isn't looked at with arranged marriages. Meaning: the awkwardness of first relationships and having the hero be madly in love with the idea. There is no abhorrence. In fact, it is quite the opposite and it changes the feel of the book. More than anything, I love playing with role reversals. While many readers love their alpha heroes who aren't willing to share themselves and their passion, I wanted the hero to be Mr. Romeo and the heroine to be the one who struggled to share herself and her passion because it creates an unexpected challenge of what we perceive as societal convention. Can we like a woman who distances herself the way we allow ourselves to like a man who does the same? Most people will struggle with my heroine and that is what I wanted. To challenge my readers to understand that when wounds go deep, it sometimes makes us unlikeable not only to others but ourselves. Women are always the one to carry their hearts on the sleeve of their gowns. But what if a man did it? What sort of a book would that be? The one I wanted to write :)

I'm fortunate enough to be able to say that I've never suffered from writer's block. Partly because I'm so many books ahead of myself, lol. But here is a tip for those who do: make sure you're always writing, even if it's not the book you're supposed to be writing. Because writing is a catalyst and will help those wheels turn. A lot of people don't realize that my writing process is very organic. I don't plan books because the moment I know what's going to happen in a book, I'm bored with it. And I find that if I can surprise myself, I can surprise my readers. So I treat my characters like real people. You can't get to know them unless you spend a lot of time with them. That includes re-writing one scene a hundred times in order to understand how they think and would respond to a situation that is unique to them. Bottom line, you should be writing, even during a writer's block, because you don't want to miss unplanned writing moments, which I find sneaks up on me all the time.

Become part of a writer's organization. While writing is a lonely art that only involves you and the computer, it takes other writers to help you through the ups and downs. No one understands a writer better than another writer. So go out there and gather people who will support you and guide you.
It's important to also be constantly taking writing classes and reading everything that will help inspire not only your writing but career. It doesn't matter if you're published or not, the moment you think you know everything about writing or the industry, you know nothing. Writing as a career is a long and tough road but if you have a genuine passion for it, every breath becomes an inspiration. Stick with it and know that nothing happens overnight. It takes hard work, passion and perseverance.

Life is my inspiration. I've been through a lot in my life. Most people don't realize that many of the things I write about are an extension of not only myself but experiences that have had a profound impact on me. For example, in my book PRELUDE TO A SCANDAL, there is a scene in which Justine witnesses a friend being beaten and in trying to protect her, gets beaten herself. Justine is me. I went through that experience of witnessing someone I love getting brutally beaten and in turn getting beaten myself. I had to dig it out of myself in order to let it go. So many of my stories have large pieces of me buried in them and what may seem outrageous to others makes me realize that yes, my life *is* outrageous. But I'm blessed to have found the love of my life and that is exactly why I write what I do: romance. Because romance changed the way I not only look at life but how I live it.
Delilah Marvelle
Being able to meet people around the world I normally wouldn't meet because of my writing. My books bring amazing people into my life and I feel so blessed knowing that I'm doing what I love and meeting people I equally adore.
Delilah Marvelle
I'm working on two books. Master of Pleasure and The Duke of Andelot. One will finish the School of Gallantry series. And The Duke of Andelot will bridge the series to the new one.
