How did you go about marketing your book? I have a novella up on Kobo, but only about ten or so people have bought it--and that's people I know. It's actually because of this that I'm trying traditional publishing the second time around. Do you have any tips for marketing? Thanks.

How did you go abouts getting published after college? Did you find an agent, self publish, e-publish, etc? What would you recommend? (Sorry for 3 questions in 1!)
Jessica Hernandez Hello, Steven! I elected to self-publish; the amount of creative control afforded to self-published authors was something that strongly appealed to me. Overall, each publishing avenue has its advantages and disadvantages. I hesitate to recommend one in specific simply because what's right (or desired) for one author might differ from what fits another author. However, I have a video up on YouTube in which I discuss the various pros and cons of different types of publishing.
