Erik Dean I have always been a werewolf and vampire fan, so after writing Garbageman, I saw an opportunity to include it into my sequel" Cryptic." I made them monsters like they should be. I also add the Hopi religion to the mix. This is the kind of story I wanted to see written by King and Koontz, but unfortunately they never did. So I did it myself. My villains are so evil; they even scare me. I put my main villain on the cover. Her name is Hellann. I think after you read it; you will also agree, that she needed to be put on the cover. I had a lot of fun writing "Cryptic', and I hope my fans enjoy what I created for them. Well until next time. See you on the bookshelf. Erik Dean
Erik Dean I am currently writing, "Cruel and Unusual." It is going to be a collection of short stories. So far, there are going to be eight tales in the collection. It might be split up into two books. Here are the titles so far. Witch Tryals/ Judge and Jury/ The devil made me do it/ The Wheel/ Dummy/ Early release/ Your turn/ Broken justice. There will be something for everyone. Witches, spirits, the undead, revenge and of course my dark humor. This going to be a big project, but I think my fans will find it quite satisfying,
Erik Dean I don't have "writer's block", that often, but I do get writer's distraction. I think of ideas for other stories. Thank god for notebooks. When I do get writers block. I walk away from the project and think about something else. Other times I will play the scene like a mini movie in my head, until I feel it is right, to put down on paper.
Erik Dean I can create new worlds and ideas. The only rules in your story is your own. I really enjoy feed back from my readers. It keeps me encouraged, that you enjoy what I have written.
Erik Dean Write about what you know. Let your imagination go wild. Do your research and have a professional editor look over your work.
Erik Dean I am an avid reader of King, Koontz, Cussler and others. For years, I followed them. Sometimes, I wondered why the plot went into the direction it did. So instead of being critical of other works. I decided to put my pen where my mouth is and set off to write my first novel.
