J.S. Edwards Hi,
I walk away from my computer. I do something else until my mind feels ready to coroperate with me . You dont want to write something your not really feeling then have to go back and change it , wait for your mind to catch up ,it will let you know when its ready .
J.S. Edwards Hi,
Different things inspire me. One day it could be a comment that I over hear from someone . Another day it could be a thought , memory or a scent that pops up out of nowhere and sometimes I dont write for a week until that little something gets me motivated to get going and then I write non stop . My Publisher and Editor Kelly Zeintek Baker always seem to know from a far that I needed a boost or something engaging to think about . She always had a way to keep me motivated and I'm so grateful for that and for Kelly .
J.S. Edwards Hi,
I have recently started to write my second novel. It seems a little easier this time due to knowing things about the process that I didnt know before.
J.S. Edwards Dont ever give up. If that feeling ever crosses your mind just step back for awhile and breathe. It can get very frustrating in many different factors. You might have a million thoughts that you need write down but you cant seem to find the time with all the other things that seem to need your attention. Once you do finish ,you think you have done an amazing job and then your Editor sends your book back with a million edits . DONT GIVE UP! Just start the edits and realize that it's a process , its all worth it in the end just keep going :) and dont allow yourself to give up.
J.S. Edwards I personally think the best thing about being a writter is the freedom. You have the ability to let your thoughts , ideas, feeling and imagination fly freely from your head to paper . Being able to share them with others is a great privilege as well.
J.S. Edwards Hi,
I have actually had the idea of my book floating around in my head since I was very young. My own mother daughter dynamic as a child was always confusing to me. I would write questions that lingered in my head down on paper and kept them for years . I decided to finally write the book that had been lingering in my head for so many years. I came across all of the notes I had written when I was younger and that is how I began writting Mulligan .
