S.J. Romero H narratives is a series of books, with Divulgence being the first and Will Be Done being next. I'm currently working on Will Be Done, but the nature of a series means that I also work on that complete series. There's a lot to this story, so stay tuned...
S.J. Romero Don't give up. Writing isn't just writing, it's planning, editing, and work. Take your time with your project and read other published books while you write. Take note of sentence structure, grammar and character development from those books. Also, do your writing in a quiet room with little to no distractions. No music, television, spouse or kids. Just you and your thoughts.
S.J. Romero The creative freedom. Allowing words to tumble out of your brain is surprisingly liberating. Not all of those words will make the final cut, but that truth should not stop the flow. Ever.
S.J. Romero I walk away before throwing my computer out the window. I then try to distract myself with other things and eventually my mind clears and I'm able to resume writing.
S.J. Romero I had thought a book about people in Hell would be interesting, but didn't want it to be the stereotype of demons / monsters. Then one night, while sitting on the toilet, I turned off the light to experience a small, dark, confined space. That's when I realized that a book about Hell should be about the emotional stress, as much as the physical. From that night on I developed a story that made sense, and allowed for a lot more stories. Thanks, toilet!
