I very seldom read fiction, so I don't have a favorite. When I do read fiction, I am not drawn to romance or love stories. Even though most fiction stories contain some aspect of love or romantic involvement, the underlying mythos or archetypal story is what interests me in fiction, not the specifics of a particular romance or couple.

Nature inspires me, so often I go outside for a walk or simply to sit under a tree. Meditation is another way I get in the space to write. And a good cup of tea is almost always by my side when I start writing.

In addition to my regular articles on Reiki Rays (www.reikirays.com), I am developing outlines for three new future books. One will be about coping with chronic pain and illness, offering useful tools to help ease the physical difficulty and to open the mind.
Another is a book of poems, prayers, affirmations and meditations. The power of the mind to heal is incredible, and bringing in the energy of prayer and inspiring written or spoken word increases that exponentially, in my experience.
A third book has become a bit of an obsession with me lately, but it may be quite an undertaking. I am putting together an outline for a book about what I call, "separation sickness". This is the underlying misconception that we are disconnected from Universal Life Force, our own energy and each other. It is the sickness that creates all other sicknesses and suffering.

It was my overwhelming desire and inspiration to share the wonderful news that everyone has the ability to heal--right now, today, even with no training. We only have to remember and connect to our own life force energy. I was able to use the tools in my book to help my own life. I continue to use them today, but I also used them prior to having any Reiki training--and they worked. Reiki training and working with energy has increased my awareness of energy and it has become much stronger, but it was there always. It is there in everyone.
