Ellie Mack Karen was awakened at two in the morning by the cries of her infant son. They had buried him in the family cemetery exactly one month before.
Ellie Mack I would go to Middle Earth and go to Rivendell. It seemed so beautiful and lush. I would learn the elven ways!
Ellie Mack My absolute favorite couple is Claire and Jamie Frazier from Diane Gabaldon's Outlander series. Don't shoot me, but I have yet to see the TV series.
From the first book in the entire series, they grow together, they grow as individuals, they adapt to the ever-changing world around them, they overcome obstacles. Through it all, there is a bond between them that the reader can sense as tangible and real.
Jamie isn't the sexiest guy in the world, he's a real guy. (As much as any fictional character can be.) Claire isn't a Hollywood pinup beauty. She real in the sense of being the type of character that any woman can relate to. Sure I love the BDB, adore JZB, drool over so many other hot leading literary men, but when it comes down to it, Jamie Frazier is like Mr. Darcy, only better.
Ultimately, Mr. Darcy felt that Elizabeth was beneath him and treated her as such. An entitled jerk that manipulated her heart - seriously how can any woman want that?
Jamie always treated Claire as his equal, and at times expressed that maybe he didn't deserve such a fine woman as Claire.
What woman wouldn't want to hear that on occasion and have the love of her life make her feel like Queen of the Universe?
Ellie Mack Watching a movie that I didn't like the ending to, watching a movie that I thought didn't have a good plot, reading a good book, reading a bad book, listening to music is always a creative time for me, also when I am driving I can think. When I can think and let my mind "go" then I can come up with some great ideas!
Ellie Mack I am currently working on Valkyrie's Curse series. I am editing and revising book 1, The Awakening and have recently finished the first draft of book 2: Trial of Aegir.
Ellie Mack Write! Start somewhere whether it's a journal, a blog, flash fiction, fan fiction, or an ideal notebook - write! Then write some more. I strongly recommend NANOWRIMO to push you beyond your current limits.
Ellie Mack Being able to express my creative thoughts! I love making up stories and weaving a tale that will entertain and captivate someone's attention!
Ellie Mack I rarely get writer's block, but when I feel blocked I use prompts, write flash fiction, or free write for about 30 minutes. This seems to cleanse the palate, and then I can focus on the next scene.
Ellie Mack For Red Wine & Roses, the idea came from a picture prompt of a scenic waterfall in the Catskill Mountains.
